The short version: We collect your name and email when you join the waitlist. We use it to tell you when we launch. We don't sell it, we don't spam you, and if you want us to delete it, just ask.

Who we are

Treat Your Teacher ("TYT", "we", "us") is a classroom communication and teacher gifting platform operated by Code/+/Trust, based in Charleston, South Carolina. You can reach us at hello@treatyourteacher.biz.

What information we collect

When you join our waitlist, we collect:

  • Name (first and last)
  • Email address
  • Role (teacher, parent, principal, or other)
  • School name (optional)
  • City and state (optional)

We also collect standard technical information automatically when you visit our site — your browser type, device type, pages visited, and how you arrived (referral source). This is collected via Netlify's infrastructure and standard web analytics. We do not use tracking cookies or third-party advertising pixels.

How we use your information

We use the information you give us exclusively to:

  • Notify you when Treat Your Teacher launches in your area
  • Send you relevant updates about the platform before launch
  • Understand which schools and communities are most interested, so we can prioritize our rollout

We will never send you unrelated promotions or marketing from third parties. Every email we send will be about Treat Your Teacher, and every one will have an unsubscribe link.

How we store your information

Waitlist submissions are stored securely via Netlify Forms, which is GDPR-compliant and SOC 2 certified. Your data is stored in the United States. You can review Netlify's privacy practices at netlify.com/privacy.

Who we share your information with

Nobody. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with any third party for marketing or commercial purposes. Period.

The only exception: if we are required by law to disclose information (e.g., a valid court order), we will comply and will notify you where legally permitted to do so.

Your rights

You have the right to:

  • Access the information we hold about you
  • Correct inaccurate information
  • Delete your information from our waitlist at any time
  • Opt out of all communications

To exercise any of these rights, email us at hello@treatyourteacher.biz with the subject line "Privacy Request." We'll respond within 5 business days.

Children's privacy

Treat Your Teacher's marketing site is intended for adults — parents, teachers, and school administrators. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has submitted information to us, please contact us and we will delete it immediately.

Changes to this policy

If we make meaningful changes to this policy, we'll update the date at the top and, where appropriate, notify waitlist members by email. Continued use of the site after changes means you accept the updated policy.
